Colgate
Saturday, 31 March 2007 … 3:00 PM Face-off
Hamilton, NY

This will be a no-electricity outdoor tailgate.
Colgate supporters have been making a lot of noise on the LaxPower Forums about how they expect to win both the game and the tailgate. Our boys will take care of the game, but it is our job to step it up and show Colgate how to tailgate!

We need to bring:

  • Lots of food … especially side dishes, drinks, and desserts! – Army Lax Parents will provide the barbeque basics ... burgers, dogs, and sausage ... and a huge grill to cook them. We are counting on parents to bring all the side dishes, drinks, and desserts it takes to produce a tailgate in the great Army Lax Parents tradition.

  • Portable stoves – To cook or reheat side dishes.

  • Sterno and sterno racks and trays – To keep cooked food warm.

  • Grills – Even though Army Lax Parents will be cooking the basic burgers, dogs, and sausage, feel free to bring your own grills to cook up your own tailgate grilling favorites.

  • Tables and chairs … as many as we can. Portable shelters too. – Longer tables for serving food and shorter ones for eating and socializing.

At least the weather forecast has improved to partly cloudy with a high of 50° and only a 10% chance of precipitation. However, with a 3:00 PM face-off, it could be brisk by tailgate time, so plan the dishes you bring accordingly.

We will tailgate in or adjacent to the parking lot next to Tyler Field (#50 in the bottom right section of the Campus Map – don’t be disoriented by the map … North is at the bottom left instead of the top and Route 12B, Broad Street in Hamilton, enters from the south at the middle right edge of the map). Look for a tent, a lacrosse banner, and an American flag.

Go to Road Game Info for more information and driving directions.

A reminder about tailgate etiquette.
Parents and guests wait to start eating until the team has been fed. We can start on the appetizers and beverages, but we wait on the main courses.

Also, Coach Alberici and the USMA Administration request that alcoholic beverages not be consumed at Army Lacrosse tailgates, at home or away.

We guarantee to our host that we will return the tailgate venue to the condition in which we found it. Please help us clean up after this tailgate so we can honor our promise.
