Army Lacrosse Parents (ArmyLaxParents)
What
are we?
An
organization made up of parents
and friends of the Army Lacrosse
program.
Our
Mission
To
support our cadets in their
lacrosse experience and maintain
the family atmosphere that
Coach Emmer forged and Coach
Alberici sustains as a
staple of this program. To support all Army Lacrosse players, including
those whose home geography or other factors prevent parents'
participation.
What
do we do?
The
organization manages the
tailgate receptions that follow
both home and away Army
Lacrosse games.
The tailgate receptions
are
open to all players, coaches,
Army Lacrosse personnel,
parents, friends, relatives,
etc., who come to our games. The
organization and its planning
committee oversee the site
locations, food planning, clean
up detail, etc. In addition,
ArmyLaxParents provides tailgates at Fall
Ball and preseason events,
gathers unofficially for tailgates
at Army home football games, and
hosts our
annual post season barbeque and
awards celebration.
How
is it funded?
The
organization is principally
funded through a one time per
season family allocation.
This allocation is set
once the varsity roster is set,
usually after the Fall Ball
season ends. We
raise additional monies through
the sale of Army Lacrosse
logowear that is offered
throughout the season. Funds are also allocated
through the cadets’ stipend
per game that allows us to
purchase the necessary materials
we need to facilitate the
tailgates, post-season gifts,
etc.
What
can I do?
Your
support is
essential to the maintenance and
survival of an effective Army
Lacrosse Parents’ organization.
Once Coach Emmer sets the varsity roster, we will
contact you and ask for your
support.
Support may come in many
ways, from what may seem minor
or menial to an intense season-long commitment.
Our committee will
publish a ‘things to do’
list and ask for and solicit
your help.

Leadership
The
Army Lacrosse Parents planning committee
is led by several sets of Firstie parents who have
committed to oversee the organization for the
2003/2004 lacrosse season.
Additional committee
members have been selected to
manage certain areas of
responsibility. Additional
volunteers are needed as
