Friends of Army Lacrosse

March 27, 2008

Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends of Army Lacrosse:

We are writing to inform and solicit your support for a new organization called Friends of Army Lacrosse.  Working closely with Coach Joe Alberici, the Friends of Army Lacrosse are former Army men’s lacrosse players, coaches, managers, parents of present and former players and others who retain an abiding interest in Army lacrosse and support the program’s return to national championship level.  This organization will pursue five goals:

  • Bring unity and cohesion to Army Lacrosse Alumni and Parents.
  • Support the Coach’s efforts in bringing national championship caliber teams to West Point.
  • Stimulate fund raising in support of unfunded approved operational enhancements for the Army Lacrosse program.
  • Support efforts to define and fund a new Army men’s lacrosse locker/training facility.
  • Facilitate networking of Army Lacrosse Alumni.

An Executive Committee has been established to coordinate activities in support of these goals.  Here are the current members of the Executive Committee:

Coach Joe Alberici
Don Tillar, Class of 1959 (Chairman)
Peter Cramblet, Class of 1970 (Vice Chair)
John Fogarty, Class of 1971
Bill Bauer, Class of 1983
Buck French, Class of 1989
Gary Giglio, Class of 1989
Steve Heller, Class of 1993
Adam Silva, Class of 1993
Jack Couch, Parent of former players
Angus Gephart, Parent of current player

In the coming months there will be more information on how to get involved and become a member of Friends of Army Lacrosse.  We look forward to your support.  Go Army! Beat Navy!

Sincerely,

Don Tillar                                                                   Joe Alberici
Chairman, Friends of Army Lacrosse                          Head Coach
