Chris seemed to be in pretty good spirits. Both of his parents were there and they were very appreciative of all the support everybody has given Chris from all over the lacrosse world, particularly with the web-site and the other West Point lacrosse organizations.
He lost his ring finger below the middle knuckle. He should get the cast off of his left hand in a few weeks, which will be pretty big. His right hand/wrist will take months of physical therapy. He might need more surgeries if the skin graft doesn't take or if the wound gets too dirty.
He should get full function and sensory perception in his left hand. He should get full function in his right hand, but may not get full sensory perception back in the middle, ring, and pinky fingers of his right hand.
All in all he feels pretty lucky, especially considering the condition of some of the other people at the Fischer House.
