Fallball 2008:

  • The ARMY LACROSSE vs NOTRE DAME Scrimmage in Minneapolis was a great success.  In double overtime, Brooks Korvin got the winning goal off and ended the first DI lacrosse game in Minnesota's history.  The lacrosse players hosted a clinic for young Minnesota players following the games and then a big tailgate followed with plenty of good food from local businesses.  Many thanks to our Army friends in Minnesota and to the Minnesota Swarm for hosting this first time event.   Click on here to see some pictures of the event.

9:30AM - 10:30AM           ND vs. UMD (Exhibition)
10:45AM - 11:45AM         ND vs. WEST POINT (2 qtr. Scrimmage)
12:00NOON - 2:00PM       ND vs. WEST POINT (Main Event)
2:30PM - 3:30PM              WEST POINT vs. UMD (Exhibition)

  • Black and White Scrimmage-The scrimmage on Sunday, October 5, was attended by many players and their families.  The game was a great send off before the boys head to Minnesota.  Click on the tailgate link for pictures by Claire Hayes.

  • Great Turnout at the Black and White Scrimmage
Thanks to all the families who helped out at the tailgate on Sunday, September 21.  Elizabeth LoRusso called for a short meeting to introduce current parent members and to invite new parents to consider joining the Parents group and helping out.  Several people have stepped up, however, we still need someone to oversee clothes sales, which is an important part of the club.  Click on our tailgates link for some pictures of the tailgate at Truxton and the scrimmage at Shea Stadium.

  • Firstie Lacrosse Players Celebrate Ring Weekend                   On Friday, September 13, 2008, the Army lacrosse players in the Class of 2009 received their class rings. Click on this thumbnail to see a full-size picture of the firsties showing off their rings, then use your web browser's Back button to return to this page

Oh my Gosh, Sir … what a beautiful ring!
What a crass mass of brass and glass.
What a bold mold of rolled gold.
What a cool jewel you got from your school.
See how it sparkles and shines?
It must have cost a fortune.
May I touch it, please Sir?

CONGRATULATIONS FIRSTIES!

          2008 Season Information:

  • COACH ALBERICI FORMS FRIENDS OF ARMY LAX
Building on the strong Army Lax Parents organization and the close knit Army Lacrosse alumni, Coach Alberici has formed a new organization called Friends of Army Lacrosse to more closely embrace the whole Army Lacrosse community. Click on Friends of Army Lacrosse Announcement to read the group's introductory letter.

The current Army Lax Parents organization will be an integral part of Friends of Army Lax, the Executive Committee of which will next meet at the beginning of Army-Navy weekend. Members of the committee will be available over the weekend to discuss the new organization's goals and plans. Perhaps the best opportunity will be at the Army Lax Parents tailgate and adjacent Army "A" Club Army Lacrosse Post-Game Reception on the 4th floor of Kimsey (see announcement below).
