  • AWARDS BANQUET- If you are attending the awards banquet, please RSVP to Shirley Lewis for the May 17 event.  It will be at Kimsey and parents will need to bring some appetizers, dishes and beverages for the event.   The event runs from noon-4pm.  CLICK HERE FOR THE INVITATION.

  • UPenn edges Army in the season finale, Sat. May 2.

     

  •       CLOSING OUR DOORS FOREVER ON LOGOWEAR!!!  This upcoming weekend, ALL logowear in stock will be sold at the final game of the season.  Due to licensing constraints, the Army Lacrosse Parents Club can no longer sell logowear on property, so Sally Harrison will be selling all items, including unusual items (aprons, glasses, etc.).  Bring your checkbook, sizes and start your holiday shopping a little early!!!  OR for collectors, start building your stock of logowear!!!

Army will face Bucknell in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament this Friday.

  • ARMY GETS THE 4TH SEED IN THE PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAYOFFS!!!

  • The first game will be at 3pm at Bucknell in Lewisburg, PA, pitting Army (4th seed) against Bucknell (top seed). At 5:45pm Navy will take on Colgate.  The winners of those two games advance to the Patriot League Finals on Sunday, April 26th.  Click on our tailgate link for information on the tailgate following the Army/Bucknell game.  Hotels are booked up in that area, but there were still rooms available at the Days Inn in Lewisburg, PA and a few rooms at the Holiday Inn Express, just north of Lewisburg in New Columbia, PA.  For directions to Bucknell, go to www.bucknell.edu.

  • MANY THANKS TO THE ARMY ALUMNI GROUP AND OUR MARYLAND FRIENDS FROM WEST POINT FOR A SPECTACULAR RECEPTION ON FRIDAY BEFORE THE ARMY/NAVY LACROSSE GAME ANDTHANKS FOR AA BIG, DELICIOUS TAILGATE ON SATURDAY AFTER THE GAME.  YOU ARE THE BEST!

  • Army edges out Lafayette in close game: 13-12 !!! Army scores 8 goals in the final quarter.

  • ARMY LOGOWEAR-With only 2 home games left this season, there will be logowear available after the Lafayette game for sale.  There will be some popular items for sale, however, if you have specific items you need, email Sally Harrison by Tuesday morning at: brandywinemgmt@optonline.net and let her know what you need.  Sally is also looking for a PLEBE, YEARLING or COW parent to step up and volunteer to work with her during the end of the season to take over the logowear responsibilities for next year.

  • Navy Sails Easily Over Army   8-4 at M and T Bank Stadium's "Day of Rivals".   Click here for pictures of the Day of Rivals game.

  • Tuesday, Army takes on Lafayette, their last Patriot League rival of the season.  Check the schedule for game time.  The A-Room will be the site if the tailgate and parents have access to the room at 6pm.  Please bring appetizers, drinks and desserts to share. Pizza will be available for the team following the game.

  • Mark your calendar for May 17th, for the Awards Banquet.

  • Army looses to Bucknell 8-6, moving them to 6th place in the Patriot League standings.

  • ARMY LAX ALUM AND GRANDPARENT, AND FORMER SUPE, DIES 
    It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the death of Scott Rosenshein's grandfather, Lt. Gen. Willard W. Scott ('48), a three-year Army Lacrosse letterman and West Point's Superintendent from 1981 to 1986. Click on NY Times obituary for a moving account of LTG Scott's life and contributions to West Point and our nation. Our deepest condolences to Scott and his whole family.

  • PLEBE, YEARLING, AND COW PARENTS ALERT 
    The West Point Parent's Lacrosse Group would like to thank parents for their volunteer time and effort in the upcoming season.  The Firstie Parents have committed their time and energy during last couple of years to making our club a great success and we thank the new volunteers who have joined the group. The new roster will be posted shortly, and we will be sending out reminders to new and existing families about our donations for the West Point Parent's Lacrosse Group.

Fallball 2008:

  • The ARMY LACROSSE vs NOTRE DAME Scrimmage in Minneapolis was a great success.  In double overtime, Brooks Korvin got the winning goal off and ended the first DI lacrosse game in Minnesota's history.  The lacrosse players hosted a clinic for young Minnesota players following the games and then a big tailgate followed with plenty of good food from local businesses.  Many thanks to our Army friends in Minnesota and to the Minnesota Swarm for hosting this first time event.   Click on here to see some pictures of the event.

  • Black and White Scrimmage-The scrimmage on Sunday, October 5, was attended by many players and their families.  The game was a great send off before the boys head to Minnesota.  Click on the tailgate link for pictures by Claire Hayes.

  • Great Turnout at the Black and White Scrimmage
    Thanks to all the families who helped out at the tailgate on Sunday, September 21.  Elizabeth LoRusso called for a short meeting to introduce current parent members and to invite new parents to consider joining the Parents group and helping out.  Several people have stepped up, however, we still need someone to oversee clothes sales, which is an important part of the club.  Click on our tailgates link for some pictures of the tailgate at Truxton and the scrimmage at Shea Stadium.

          2008 Season Information:

 

  • COACH ALBERICI FORMS FRIENDS OF ARMY LAX
    Building on the strong Army Lax Parents organization and the close knit Army Lacrosse alumni, Coach Alberici has formed a new organization called Friends of Army Lacrosse to more closely embrace the whole Army Lacrosse community. Click on Friends of Army Lacrosse Announcement to read the group's introductory letter. 

The current Army Lax Parents organization will be an integral part of Friends of Army Lax, the Executive Committee of which will next meet at the beginning of Army-Navy weekend. Members of the committee will be available over the weekend to discuss the new organization's goals and plans. Perhaps the best opportunity will be at the Army Lax Parents tailgate and adjacent Army "A" Club Army Lacrosse Post-Game Reception on the 4th floor of Kimsey (see announcement below).
